Discovery Sound hopes young listeners – and their parents – will enjoy the magic and intimacy of listening to children’s stories over the airwaves.

Discovery Sound Features Engaging Stories & Songs

The program aims to captivate kids’ imaginations and help parents provide their children with a fun alternative to screen time, whether it’s at bedtime, in the car, or while travelling.

The show will air classic and contemporary stories, songs, poetry and the odd radio play suitable for a young audience.

But we’re keen to involve our community of listeners, whether they live on close by on the Discovery Islands or far overseas.

Children and their families can send us suggestions about the stories and songs they’d like to hear on the show.

Discovery Sound also hopes to showcase original works from our listeners, particularly our younger audience members.

So send us your short stories, poetry and feedback.

Also let us know if it’s your birthday and we’ll give you a shout out on the show.

If you draw pictures about the wonders you hear on Discovery Sound, we would love to see your artwork.

Producer/Narrator:
